◎ For companies that are seeking for interns via J-1 visa

1, The length of J-1 internship is from 3 months to 18 months. (If your industry is related to hospitality such as hotel, restaurant and so on, the maximum length of internship is up to 12 months.)2, All participants have a certain degree of educational background (at least high school diploma) and work experience in the career fields that they are petitioning.
3, All participants are screened and evaluated their English level to meet the standard of J-1 Visa applicants.
4, After completing 18 months of J-1 visa program, all J-1 participants are possibility to apply for H-1B visa. (H1-B is commonly known as a working visa.) or other working visa.
◎ Merit for the hosting companies
1, All companies can obtain experienced candidates who have work experience in an industry that they are applying for via J-1 visa.2, All J-1 visa hosting companies don't have to sponsor J-1 visa. The sponsors of J-1 participants are NPO organizations so that the hosting companies wouldn't have to take any risks. In addition, the labor law for J-1 participants is not applied under J-1 visa program.
3, All J-1 visa hosting companies can lay off J-1 participants if there are reasonable and conceivable reasons.
4, All hosting companies can save on personnel cost. Moreover, average stipend for J-1 participants is between $1000 and $1500 per month or between $8 and $13 per hour.
5, J-1 participants must have their own insurance which is accredited by NPO organizations. Our related NPO organization is authorized by the Department of State.
